A VALUE BUY WITH ALL THE RIGHT TICKS
One Syndications secured Lot 314 from the Magic Millions March QTIS Sale on the Gold Coast for just $65,000 — a purchase we believe represents outstanding value in what has been a clear buyer’s market with a below-average clearance rate.
This colt sat right at the top of our shortlist. He boasts an underrated pedigree, a fluent walk, and most importantly passed the vetting process with flying colours.
Since the sale, we’ve also been told that another trainer had a budget of $150,000 for this colt but unfortunately missed him in the ring, which further reinforces the value we believe we’ve secured.
He’s a well-balanced bay colt bred by one of Queensland’s leading farms, Kenmore Lodge, and joins a stable that is flying, with recent success from both tried horses and yearlings purchased from this very sale.
Importantly, he is eligible for all QTIS and Magic Millions bonus prize money pools.
ABOUT THE TRAINER
The colt will be trained and raced in South East Queensland by 12-time Premiership trainer and multiple Group 1 winner Tony Gollan.
We’ve already enjoyed success with Tony. Our tried horse HELL was consistently in the money throughout his last preparation, while our 2025 yearling purchase from this sale, NIGHT MARKET, debuted in a very strong race where she was well supported in the market but had little luck.
Tony’s operation speaks for itself — top riders, elite staff and world-class facilities, all contributing to the consistent results his stable produces.
The Gold Coast base will now be overseen by highly respected horseman Lindsay Hatch, ensuring this colt receives first-class care and education, following his breaking-in with leading breaker Jake Capewell in Toowoomba.
ABOUT THE SIRE – PROFITEER
PROFITEER burst onto the scene as a two-year-old, winning the Inglis Millennium by five lengths and showcasing blistering speed, including a dominant debut victory over 1100m at Flemington.
He now stands at Newgate Farm for $11,000, and his first runners are already showing promise. One exciting example is the improving speedster Star of Jamaica, who has progressed sharply with each start in his first preparation.
ABOUT THE DAM – NISHKA
NISHKA was a two-time winner from just ten starts over 1300m and 1400m, trained in Sydney by Ron Quinton, including a metropolitan maiden victory at only her fourth start.
Her first foal (by Flying Artie) has already won over 800m, showing the family’s natural speed. With this colt being by Profiteer, we believe there is significant upside, with the scope to be effective from 1000m through to 1400m.
Nishka is also a half-sister to two outstanding performers:
